Community Aphasia Programs Network of Ontario, Canada
Vision
All individuals in Ontario with aphasia have access to communication opportunities, resources and the support needed for optimal life participation. We believe communication is a basic human right. All People with Aphasia (PWA) are entitled to live in a barrier-free society where all community members play a key role in achieving this goal.
Mission & Purpose
We are a network of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) associated with community aphasia programs who support one another to, individually and together:
• provide a communicatively accessible place for PWA
• engage community partners to be communicatively accessible
• enhance professional development in the area of the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia

Value Statements
Mentorship
Mentorship of community aphasia program leaders is the foundation of the network. We share information and expertise openly and actively support one another to develop in our related professional goals.
Client and Community-Centred
We act with integrity, advancing the best interests of PWA.

Respect and Cooperation
We are stronger together. We commit to creative collaborative work through respectful communication and active cooperation.
